What is a Field Evaluation?
A field evaluation is a process whereby products that do not have a certification acceptable to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), where-as the owner can be evaluated to the applicable product safety standard(s) for the specific application at location where the product is being utilized. Only NRTL’s (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories) can evaluate and Field Label these products.

Some people approach us thinking we are a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL), but we’re not. Our job is to help you make sure your products are ready before you send them to an NRTL. After all, NRTLs can’t help you with testing. That would be a conflict of interest. That’s why we’re here, between you and them, and we’re always on your side. We know what they need to see before they certify your product’s compliance.
